Groupon Makes Always-on Offers Searchable

GrouponGroupon is unveiling a new deal structure and is redesigning its home page to enable consumers to search for offers that won’t disappear. The daily-deals giant was the master of serendipity, but it’s now focusing on being a better place for consumers to shop for things they’re already looking for. In New York and Chicago, users will start seeing a new home page displaying a catalog of offers spanning various categories. Offers will be browsable. This is the continuation of a shift Groupon made when it launched Groupon Now. If this small launch goes well, these deals will start showing up in search results. So far, the company is seeing positive results. (AllThingsD)
