Groupon has acquired Savored, a provider of reservations at high-end restaurants. This signals Groupon’s intentions to go beyond everyday dining and into the realm of fine dining by helping restaurants fill seats during their slow times. Savored, formerly known as VillageVines, says more than 1,000 restaurants across the U.S. have used its services. Groupon’s VP of Groupon Now says the acquisition of Savored will help its efforts in “yield management.” The terms of the deal were not disclosed. (Business Wire, AllThingsD)
