Christopher Baker has been named president of CRM system provider Group 1 Software.
Most recently, Baker served as vice president of sales and customer development at Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies. He succeeded Bob Bowen, who retired after serving as president of Group 1 for 21 years. Pitney Bowes acquired Lanham, MD-based Group 1 in July 2004.
Baker founded automated mail processing solutions firm MailCode in 1989; Pitney Bowes acquired MailCode in 2001.
Patrick Brand replaced Baker as vice president, U.S. sales and customer development. He joined the company in 1983, and most recently served as vice president, global strategy, product management and marketing for Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies.
