Gap, Inc. Business Direct is out with a new corporate apparel catalog targeting small and large companies in search of logo apparel to use as rewards or to outfit staff members.
The specialty retailer launched its first-ever corporate apparel catalog in April featuring Gap and Old Navy clothing and accessories. The catalog comes in response to requests from retail customers, many who work for companies that use corporate apparel, Keith Mercier, senior director of Gap, Inc. Business Direct, said.
The 44-page catalog features clothing and accessories for men and womenfrom dress shirts, jean jackets and sweatshirts to tote bags, T-shirts and flip-flops.
“We want to bring to this market the iconic apparel items that Gap and Old Navy are known for and provide companies the opportunity to offer them to their employees,” Mercier said. “It sends a strong message when you give something to someone from a well-known brand.”
The company is working on its second catalog that will include its fall line and introduce new ways for businesses to customize its products with a company logo or event name, he said. Next spring, Gap, Inc. Business Direct plans to launch a line of small leather accessories from the Banana Republic brand, Mercier added.
The clothing line is ideal as premiums for employees, she said. For example, an Old Navy beach tote is fitting as an in-room gift for a company meeting or event, he said. Or take the Gap denim jacket, which can be embroidered to commemorate a company anniversary or milestone.
“The opportunities are endless,” Mercier said.
Top sellers in the catalog include polo shirts, which range in price from $14.50 to $17.50 for Old Navy products and $24.50 to $29.50 for Gap products, and flip-flops at $3.50 a pair. The minimum order is 10 pieces per style and color per product.
