GameRiot is embarking on its third national tour launching this summer through the end of October.
The video games festival and competition, presented by Spike TV, is expected to entertain nearly a quarter of a million gamers from now through Oct. 24 in 18 markets. The tour offers casual to hardcore gamers the chance to be the first to play new and unreleased titles from Microsoft, ESPN Videogames, Vivendi Universal Games and other leading game publishers complete with prizes, free giveaways and the GameRiot Girls.
GameSpot, the online mecca for gamers, has launched a sweepstakes tie-in with the tour. The GameSpot on the Road sweepstakes can be entered at www.gameriot.com. Prizes include a Scion xA car and Alienware Aurora computer systems.
Spike TV will be handing out free samples of the newest gaming paraphernalia and special offers for attendees including new DC Comics titles and copies of the latest release of America’s Army video game.
Games Media Properties LLC, a venture of the William Morris Agency, handles the tour.
