The Federal Trade Commission issued a warning to consumers yesterday, urging them to beware of advertisements to call 1-900-DONOTCALL and pay $2.95 to be connected to the FTC’s do-not-call sign-up system.
Sign up for the National Do Not Call registry is free, said the FTC, by calling 1-888-382-1222 or by going online at www.donotcall.gov.
