FTC to Examine Internet Data Collection Practices

The Federal Trade Commission will host a forum Nov. 1 and 2 in Washington, DC, to discuss Internet marketing and privacy issues. Requests to participate in panel discussions must be received by Sept. 14.

The agenda will focus on data collection practices pertaining to Web site searches, Web pages visited and online content viewed. Speakers will include consumer advocates, industry representatives, technology experts and academics.
