Foursquare Introduces Shareable Business Pages for Those Who Don’t Use Its Mobile App

Posted on

FoursquareFoursquare continues its rollout of business-friendly features with today’s announcement of shareable business pages. In other words, when a Foursquare app user tweets, posts to Facebook, emails or text messages about a place with friends who don’t have the Foursquare app on their phone, they’ll be linked to a “shiny new page” displaying pertinent business information.

“We’ve redesigned the page to highlight great tips and photos (and it still has all the essentials, like address, phone number, and more),” according to the company’s blog post.

Earlier this month, Foursquare announced a feature that lets businesses add their Twitter handles when someone tweets about them or checks in at one of their physical locations. In late January, the location-based social network also introduced iPhone and Android mobile apps just for small businesses.
