Four Content Trends for Marketing Pros in 2020

Posted on by Kaylee Hultgren

Crafting engaging content through brand communications will remain top of mind for marketers this year, according to several public relations professionals’ predictions in PRNEWS.

Social channels that will see growth include Stories on Instagram and Facebook. They’ll take on a larger role in marketers’ content strategy, particularly in light of Instagram’s decision to eliminate “likes” from posts in users’ feeds. Caption length on social media posts will continue to grow as well, which signifies an increase in storytelling.

Another content trend we’ll see more of on social media is video. New forms of content, like TikTok, are entering and altering the scene, and certain platforms, such as LinkedIn, will up their video game. Two additional trends that will shape content strategies for marketers this year include diversity of point of view within storytelling and the consideration of how political current events will factor into brands’ strategies. Read on in PRNEWS for more detail on how these four content trends are expected to play out in 2020.
