This summer The Food Network is encouraging viewers in 15 cities to take note of its favorite local culinary offerings.
Starting today, each weekly episode of the show Food Finds will focus on a specific type of cuisine. Viewers from the selected city for that week will be asked to call in their favorite hometown food find to a local radio station. The stations tally the results and hold an in-studio tasting to determine the top foods in the area. One grand-prize winner from each city will be chosen randomly and receive a trip to a prime foodie destination including Napa Valley or New York City.
The Great American Food Finds campaign goes through June 17 and will take place in cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Detroit. Local cable spots via New York City-based Margeotes/Feritta + Partners and print collateral at food festivals support.
