Facebook Offers Its Year in Review for 2012, Featuring Its IPO, ‘The Hunger Games,’ Instagram

Facebook is joining the likes of Google and Twitter by offering its own take on what was popular in 2012.

The social network offers a “look back at the people, moments and things that created the most buzz in 2012 among the billion people around the world on Facebook.”

While there are no mentions of EdgeRank and though this list was not voted on, it offers an interesting glance at what big conversations took place on the biggest social network in the world in the past year. Clearly, marketers had plenty of opportunities to engage their audiences using some of these trends.

Here’s a look at some of the biggest Facebook trends in 2012 (in the U.S.):
