Event for High Level List Execs Debuts

Fast Forward 2006, an executive summit for marketing information business leaders, will debut on Aug. 15. The one-day event features a variety of speakers both from within the list and direct marketing industries and industry at large.

Session topics include “Re-engineering Your Brand/Revitalizing Your Position”; “Data Security and Consumer Privacy – What Your Company Needs to Know and Do Now’: Data Integration and Consolidation”; “Recruiting and Retaining Top Talent”; and “Legends of the List Universe”. Steve Forbes, president and CEO of Forbes and editor in chief of Forbes magazine, will deliver a luncheon keynote.

While the event is timed just before List Vision, it is being geared toward a different audience. “This is a day for high-level executives and people in the industry who have made a difference,” said Adrea Rubin, president of New York-based Adrea Rubin Marketing Inc.

“List Vision educates newer and mid-level people on tactics and tools of the trade. It’s almost like a mentorship kind of event,” said Fran Green, president of ALC’s Data Management division. “This show is for those who market data, and it addresses how their companies and value propositions are changing from list brokers to marketing information experts. The list broker has evolved from someone who finds lists to a strategic partner who helps marketers understand not only customer acquisition, but customer leveraging, new product development, loyalty, retention, lifetime value, all through the innovative application of data.”

The event is being jointly sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association and independent members of the list community. Roughly 70 spaces at the 100-seat events have already been sold. Those interested in attending may register at http://www.the-dma.org/cgi/eventregistration?mtgcode=LEX0107.
