ESPN TAKES MOBILE ROAD TO ROSE BOWL

Bristol, CT-based ESPN is taking The Discover Card College GameDay Tailgate on a 16-city trek to college campuses around the country.

The campaign sends a 48-foot trailer complete with a replica of the ESPN telecast studio to tailgate events. Activities include passing, kicking, and catching competitions, and faux analyst auditions. Visitors can also register for sweeps, check college game scores, sign up for a Discover Card, play Sega videogames, and score Foot Locker coupons. Marketing Werks, Chicago, handles.

An online overlay at discovercard.com lets visitors make predictions on upcoming games; each prediction doubles as entry into a sweeps offering the grand-prize winner an appearance on “College GameDay” at the Rose Bowl in January.
