Eddie Bauer, Coinstar Team for Gift Card Service

Eddie Bauer is the latest brand to join forces with supermarket coin changing machine company Coinstar, Inc. offering gift card and eCertificates in exchange for loose change.

Under the Coin-to-Card program, customers empty change into supermarket or drug store kiosks in exchange for branded gift cards. The kiosks let customers to choose from up to three retail gift cards or a branded gift card from participating supermarkets.

Eddie Bauer is the first apparel certificate in Coinstar’s Coin to Card program and is available at more than 6,500 supermarket and drug stores nationwide. The Seattle-based retailer is also the first to accept eCertificates online or at in-store locations.

Bellevue, WA-based Coinstar [http://www.Coinstar.com] develops, owns and operates a network of automated, self-service coin counting and processing machines. In addition to Eddie Bauer, the company offers gift cards and e-certificates for Amazon.com, Borders, Hollywood Video, iTunes, Linens ‘n’ Things, Pier 1 Imports, Starbucks and Virgin Digital. Coinstar launched the Coin to Card program in 2005.
