EBay Inc. and AOL Time Warner’s Internet unit plan to expand their marketing agreement, published reports said. Financial terms were not disclosed.
In the new three-year alliance AOL will promote EBay across AOL online as well as through television networks TNT and TBS and through magazines. AOL will continue to act as an ad agency for the Internet company’s ad inventory.
In its 1999 deal, EBay paid AOL $75 million to promote the auction site on AOL’s Web sites and online service.
