E-mail is becoming more of a necessity than the phone for work and play, according to a study by Reachon.com Permission Based E-mail Marketing Service.
Twenty percent of respondents said that checking e-mails first thing in the morning delayed them taking kids to school on time, while 26% said that they made it to work late and 15% stated that they checked e-mails via PDA in the bathroom. The study found that over 32% of e-mail users in the study used e-mail as a primary source to conduct business, communicate with friends, make purchases, and have exchanges with family members.
The study polled more than 10,000 individuals over the past year.
