Dun & Bradstreet to Acquire iMarket

Dun & Bradstreet will acquire iMarket, Inc., a firm in which it already holds a minority interest, the firms announced today.

IMarket is a provider of marketing services for small- and mid-sized businesses.

D&B hopes to use iMarket’s Internet portal, zapdata.com, to ” further migrate our business to the Web,” said Allan Loren, CEO of Murray Hill, NJ-based D&B, in a statement.

Terms of the sale, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year, were not disclosed. The transaction must approved by iMarket’s shareholders.

Willard Reynolds, iMarket’s CEO, will continue leading the Market team.

Waltham, MA-based iMarket has 12,000 active customers and 90 employees.
