Cloud-based video solutions are emerging as an increasingly effective choice for marketers looking to increase their online video presence, as well as their user engagement through an easy-to-use interface. A recent report from Nucleus Research found that using Video Cloud solutions allows brands to better leverage online video presence, increase engagement with users and more effectively manage their digital brand. Salesforce ExactTarget Marketing Cloud, a digital marketing company, adopted Brightcove’s Video Cloud to manage the development and publication of video content to its web site through a custom video portal to increase user engagement and increase the amount of time users spend learning about the brand.
The pairing resulted in doubled user time spent on ExactTarget’s web site, improved web site visitor engagement with brand and products, increased product demonstration frequency, and improved brand management, as marketers were able to publish video content quickly and easily.
ExactTarget Marketing Cloud also hired an outside agency to design a custom portal to display the video on its web site in a style that was representative of its brand culture. Including the time to design the custom portal, the implementation took approximately four and a half months. Because Brightcove is a cloud-based video solution, no additional hardware was required, which was an important factor for the company because it did not need to worry about investing in additional storage as its video content library grew.
“ExactTarget’s digital brand is extremely important to us, and having a beautiful and usable video experience for our visitors is a big part of that. Without Brightcove I don’t think we would be able to have such a highly stylized video presence,” says Kathryn Loheide, director, global digital marketing, ExactTarget Marketing Cloud.
