Draft Chicago Named DMEF Agency of Record

Draft Chicago has been named the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation’s first volunteer advertising agency of record since 1985.

Sid Liebenson, Draft Chicago’s executive vice president and director of marketing, will head up the account. Projects Draft will oversee for the DMEF include a new planned giving campaign, the DMEF’s renewal series and a fall fundraising campaign.

“This year marks the first time in many years that an agency of record has come on board pro bono,” noted Jim Kobs, DMEF chairman, in a statement. “In 1985, then agency Stone & Adler created and implemented an ECHO-winning fundraising mail campaign on behalf of the DMEF. Since then, all work has been done in-house.”

The DMEF Board of Trustees and staff are implementing the second phase of a revised strategic plan for the Foundation, including expansion of new revenue streams such as the DMEF Auction for Education, cost-cutting measures, integration of redundant operations into the Direct Marketing Association, and a new emphasis on marketing efforts to professors.
