The Direct Marketing Association’s board of directors has named John A. Greco Jr., a former association head and direct marketer, as its new president/CEO.
Greco starts work Aug. 16, replacing H. Robert Wientzen, who is retiring after nearly eight years at the group’s helm.
At the Yellow Pages Integrated Media Association, Greco was known for spending a good deal of his time on legislative and regulatory issues, according to Rebecca L. Jewett, vice chairman of Norm Thompson Outfitters Inc. and the DMA’s chairman of the board.
Greco served as the Yellow Pages association’s president and CEO between 2000 and 2003.
