DMA Names Catalog VP

The Direct Marketing Association has named Roscoe Burton Starek III senior vice president, catalog industry. Starek is a former federal trade commissioner and had been a senior executive in the White House during George Bush’s presidency.

In addition to being the liaison to and advocate for the DMA’s catalog members, Starek will be responsible for representing the business needs and interests of the industry to various government agencies and departments. He also will respond to proposed legislation or regulations that affect catalogs on both the state and federal levels. In that role, he replaces Robert Levering, who left the DMA earlier this year.
