DISPLACED CHILDREN IN SARASOTA WILL RECEIVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS
Sadly, there are many children that barely get a meal a day, let alone gifts for the holidays. This year, Clickbooth is working with the Guardian ad Litem Program, to fulfill Sarasota children’s holiday wish lists. Over the next week and a half, Clickbooth will be purchasing gifts for 56 local children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned, and as a result, are now dependents of the state and have been placed with court appointed guardians. On Tuesday, December 13th at 5:30 pm all of the employees at Clickbooth will gather to wrap all of the donations for these children.
Sometimes it is hard to remember that the national economy is suffering and it has affected almost everyone, including our neighbors. During these hard economic times, Clickbooth has continued to grow and is grateful that they are able to give back to the local community. One family of 4 lives in a 2.5 bedroom apartment and can only afford hot dogs for dinner. Clickbooth is not only fulfilling the children’s wish lists, but also providing gift cards for food and necessities to the guardians as well. “It is wonderful to work with a company that empowers their employees to ‘pay it forward’ by providing abused, abandoned and neglected children with as normal a holiday as possible. It really heartens our 400 volunteers to see the 1100 children we represent in court being treated with such love and humanity. We are most grateful for Integraclick’s [Clickbooth] commitment to abused children,” states Pam Hindman with the Guardian ad Litem Program.
Providing the funding for physical goods is only a portion of the charitable donation. In order to make the holidays special for these families and allow them to share the joy of opening presents, Clickbooth hosts a "Holiday Wrapping Party," for employees. Employees are invited to wrap all of the gifts for the families and children in need. Katia, an employee at Clickbooth, said, “Wrapping the gifts is a fun way to bond with coworkers and embrace the holiday spirit for an amazing cause.”
All of the presents will be purchased and wrapped on December 13th, and the Guardian ad Litem Program will pick up the donations and deliver them to the families before Christmas.
