CMGI Inc., Andover, MA, has agreed to purchase San Francisco-based Flycast Communications Corp. in a stock deal worth about $559 million, it was reported yesterday.
Flycast, which helps small and medium-sized Web sites plan ad campaigns and sell ad space, agreed that if the deal fell through, CMGI can buy up to 19.9% of Flycast’s outstanding common stock. The deal is expected to close in January.
