Choice Media and MDChoice, a subsidiary of Choice Media Inc., have acquired three online health portal sites.
Two of the sites, DrKoop.com and DrDrew.com, were purchased by MDChoice.com as part of its acquisition of Vitacost Holdings. The third, HealthSquare.com, was acquired from New Media Systems LLC by Choice Media. All of the companies are privately held, and no purchase price was disclosed.
The acquisitions allow Choice Media to offer a larger advertising network to pharmaceutical manufacturers, according to the Somerville, NJ-based company.
