Chock Full O’Nuts In the Market For a New Jingle

Everybody sing. Chock Full o’nuts is giving aspiring singers a chance to tune their vocal chords by coming up with a creative rendition of the famous specialty coffee maker’s hea-venly coffee jingle.

Kicking off the event March 13 in New York’s Greeley Square was Daniel Rodriguez, the singing NY policeman, as one of a number of guests. More than 80 participants tried their luck with others turned away as the crowds swelled beyond capacity. Chock Full o’nuts is based in New York City and used its city roots to reinforce the brand’s urban heritage.

More than 20 similar events will be held in Boston and across the Northeast at major venues and retails stores during March and April. Winners receive $1,000 and the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Knicks’ home game April 11. First-place winners from each venue will vie for a $10,000 grand prize.

Supporting the events is a sweepstakes offer in cans of Chock Full o’nuts coffee with chances to win up to $5,000 if the can plays the brand’s jingle.
