Dr. Heiner Gurtler, group president, global prestige and professional care and CEO of Wella, will retire June 30, 2006.
Under his leadership, the global professional business of Wella, Clairol, Prestige Beaute Fine Fragrances and Cosmopolitan Cosmetics were combined under one organization-Procter & Gamble Prestige & Professional Care.
Gurtler will also leave his post as chairman of the management board of Wella AG effective Oct. 1
As of Oct. 1, Susan E. Arnold, vice chairman, global beauty, has been named to assume Gurtler’s responsibilities as P&G group president for prestige & professional care.
Gurtler joined Wella AG in 1990.
