Catalog Growth Outstrips Store Gains for Successories

Successories, Aurora,IL, had domestic catalog sales growth of 10.8% for the four weeks ended July 31. On a year-to-date basis, domestic sales for Successories catalogs have now increased by 13.4% for the six months ended July 31. The company also reported that comp sales from company-owned retail locations increased by 1.7%; on a year-to-date basis, comp store sales have now increased by 3.6% for the first half of the year.

“We are pleased with our July domestic catalog sales, especially given that we had a planned reduction in circulation of approximately 14% as compared to July of last year,” noted Successories president and COO Gary Rovansek. “Our retail comp store sales increases also continue to meet our expectations.”

Successories markets proprietary and licensed products for business, personal motivation, and for golf enthusiasts through multiple distribution channels, including direct mail catalogs, Internet commerce, specialty retail stores, and seasonal kiosks. Its catalog properties include Successories, Winners Collection, The Golf Company from Golf Digest and British Links brands.
