Catalog shopping portal Catalog City, Pacific Grove, CA, today announced a strategic alliance with InfoSpace.com, an online directory, that will expand the online presence of the Catalog City family of mail-order catalogs.
Under the agreement, Catalog City has purchased 1 billion advertising impressions from InfoSpace.com on behalf of the catalog industry, to run over the next 12 months. This agreement will extend the reach of Catalog City merchants on the World Wide Web, across such online destinations as Netscape, Microsoft, Lycos, MetaCrawler, EarthLink, Dow Jones, ABC LocalNet and CBS’ affiliated TV stations.
As part of this agreement, Catalog City will provide merchandise for InfoSpace’s e-shopping area. The advertising impressions are used to promote Catalog City and its merchants on the InfoSpace site and its affiliate partner sites. In turn, Catalog City merchants will receive an expanded Web presence, generating additional traffic and revenue for their merchandise at Catalog City.
