Cash Infusion Lets Telebrands Resurrect Package Insert Program

A $4 million cash infusion will stave off Telebrands’ creditors, and allow the Fairfield, NJ-based marketing firm to continue its direct response television activities while restarting its package insert program. In an interview with DIRECT Newsline, Telebrands president A.J. Khubani said the package insert program would start anew in January 2001.

As reported previously (DIRECT Newsline Sept. 21), the package insert program had been abruptly discontinued in mid-September. At the time, thousands of advertiser inserts were stranded at PDS/Promotions Distributor Services, a Pacoima, CA-based lettershop.

The pieces were subsequently placed with other packages by the list manager, List Services Corp., Bethel, CT.

According to Khubani, once re-launched the program will again be managed by List Services Corp.
