Campbell’s Chunky soup is readying its largest contingent of National Football League football players to ever participate in its Mama’s Boys ad campaign.
The eight athletes include: LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego Chargers), Matt Hasselbeck (Seattle Seahawks), Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville Jaguars), Larry Johnson (Kansas City Chiefs), Jonathan Vilma (New York Jets), DeMarcus Ware (Dallas Cowboys), Devin Hester (Chicago Bears) and Todd Heap (Baltimore Ravens).
The ads play off players’ love of the game, as well as their moms and carry the tagline “It fills you up right.”
The players will appear with their moms in TV and print ads. The campaign breaks Sept. 6, just as the NFL season gets underway. Campbell’s Chunky soup has sponsored the NFL for 10 consecutive seasons.
Past NFL spokesmen for the soup include Reggie White, John Elway, Terrell Davis, Jerome Bettis, Donovan McNabb, and Brian Urlacher, among others.
