Cache Increases Budget for DM Expansion

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Women’s apparel marketer Cache Inc. plans to increase spending this fall on advertising and marketing to 4% of sales, up from 3%.

“This will enable us to expand our direct mail circulation, develop a full catalog and begin television advertising for the first time,” said Brian Woolf, chairman of Cache in a statement.

Cache has hired James P. Frain as a consultant to launch an expanded customer loyalty program in 2007. Frain will oversee direct marketing and general advertising. He was formerly chief marketing officer at Chico’s FAS Inc.
