Build-A-Bear Workshop Hits The Road in Inaugural Tour

Entertainment retailer Build-A-Bear Workshop has launched its first-ever mobile tour, and plans on hitting several sporting events and festivals this year.

Build-A-Bear Workshop On Tour made its debut this week in Jacksonville, FL, at the Super Bowl XXXIX NFL Experience, a fan festival in advance of Sunday’s Big Game. In addition to making their own stuffed animals, consumers can purchase Super Bowl sweatshirts and tee shirts that are exclusive to Build-A-Bear Workshop. Discussions are underway to development product specific to the tour.

The tour’s next stop is in Denver Feb. 17-21 at the NBA All-Star Jam Session. Consumers there will have the opportunity to dress their bear in NBA merchandise, including bear-sized All-Star Uniforms and Tiny Tees.

The tour is also working with the NBA to promote literacy. Throughout February, Build-A-Bear Workshop will participate in a variety of NBA events including the Read to Achieve Reading Rally, the NBA Caravan Hospital visit and other activities taking place at the Read to Achieve area at Jam Session.

Other stops include the Miami Dade County Fair March 17-April 3, Atlanta Dogwood Festival April 8-10 and the MLB All-Star FanFest in Detroit in July.
