Big Dog’s Revenue, Losses Constant with Last Year’s

Big Dog Holdings Inc., Santa Barbara, CA, had first quarter revenue of $16.6 million, down slightly from $16.7 million in first quarter 1999. The company’s net loss, however, grew slightly, from $$2.2 million to $2.3 million. The quarter ended March 31.

The company, which manufactures lifestyle apparel and consumer products, attributed its quarterly results partly to the Easter shopping season coming later this year than last year. The company is looking to expanded product lines, especially in the large-sized and children’s markets, and growth in its Internet site to turn its fortunes around.
