The Advertising Specialty Institute has come up with its over version of the popular reality TV show, Extreme Makeover.
But instead of breast augmentations and rhinoplasty, ASI is offering a contest where three U.S.-based ASI distributor firms will compete head-to-head for one year to see which can grow its business the most.
To aid the competition, called The Distributors’ Extreme Makeover Contest, three finalists will be provided with “makeover tools” including a year’s worth of one-on-one counseling from industry entrepreneur, David Blaise, to create strategic marketing and action plans. Blaise is the author of Top Secrets of Multi-Million Dollar Producers and co-author of the book, The Power of Promotional Products. A new business wardrobe will also be provided by Edwards Garmet, a business apparel provider as well as samples from suppliers. The three contestant winners will be announced at ASI Show in Chicago, July 12-14.
The firm achieving the greatest growth at the end of one year based upon percent revenue growth times profitability, gets a suite of ASI products and services to use for five years. The second place winner gets the suite of products and services to use for two years and third place gets one year.
“This is an opportunity to actively introduce and to engage individuals in the exciting and lucrative opportunities in the promotional products industry marketplace,” said Trevose, PA-based ASI President Tim Andrews in a statement.
All North American ASI distributor firms qualify and can enter through May 15 at Asicentral.com/makeover. Each entrant receives a 30-day trial of ESP Online from ASI, a marketing and research tool, a copy of the audio training program Inside the Mind of a Promotional Products Client, by Blaise and an invitation to an online business building seminar co-hosted by Blaise.
