APAC Reports $5.4 Million Second Quarter Loss

APAC Customer Services Inc., Deerfield, IL, reported a net loss of $5.4 million in the second quarter, which it attributed to lower profit margins, restructuring costs, higher interest rates and other factors.

Revenues for the second quarter totaled $53.8 million, compared to $58.2 million for the second quarter of 2006.

APAC reduced capacity of its U.S. call centers by 800 seats during the second quarter, which is projected to save $3 million to $4 million in overhead annually.
