Amazon’s A9 Launches Yellow Pages With Images

Amazon.com subsidiary A9.com Inc. has launched “A9.com Yellow Pages,” a new service that shows users street views of businesses and their neighborhoods.

The service uses a technology called “Block View,” that Amazon says uses trucks equipped with digital cameras and GPS systems to capture images to show a street view of more than 10 U.S. cities using over 20 million photographs. Fourteen million business listings with interactive maps are available at the A9.com homepage.
