Agape Communications, a new telemarketing services agency located in Anderson, IN, anticipates it will hire as many as 400 employees within the next year. It plans to hire 75 people within a few weeks.
The city agreed to cover the $3,000 cost for extending fiber optic communications cables to a downtown site, in a recently renovated historic building where the call center will be housed.
Agape is associated with LPALC Communications, a Canadian-based firm that started in early 2007. LPALC received start-up assistance from the government and Indian tribe in Canada.
It operates three call centers in Canada handling calls for controlled circulation publications, surveys and other kinds of inbound and outbound telemarketing campaigns.
