The Arena Football League and Universal Music Enterprises have developed a CD to sample music to football fans and drive music fans to the games.
The 12-song compilation, There’s A Rumble In The House!, includes the release of the single Neurotica by Jon Bon Jovi, who is an owner of the Philadelphia Soul, among other artists. It also contains a two-minute mini-movie staring Bon Jovi and Colorado Crush owner John Elway, who is in the NFL Hall of Fame.
A promotion push includes give-aways at the Philadelphia Soul home game Sunday against Dallas, live reads during the league’s games, Jumbotron messages and arena signage. The CD will also be available to fans exclusively at Best Buy and at its Web site at www.bestbuy.com.
The league will also promote the album on its Web site and with mentions on its NBC Sports weekly game telecast, as well as on it’s weekly FOX Sports radio show, AFL spokesperson Jennifer Boehm said.
In a separate development, the AFL’s Georgia Force was given two customized MINI Coopers for promotional use, courtesy of one of baseball Hall-of-Famer Hank Aaron’s Atlanta-area dealerships.
The vehicles have been wrapped in Georgia Force designs featuring the team’s version of the MINI Cooper, 5-foot 6-inch offensive specialist Markeith Cooper.
The two MINI Markeith Coopers will be traveling throughout the city of Atlanta over the next several months attending promotional events and other public functions.
“This is a tailor-made relationship,” said Force General Manager Eddie Rockwell. “Both Markeith Cooper and the MINI Cooper automobiles are perfect examples of how size and speed can be used to its fullest.”
