Advantage Marketing Systems is Barely Profitable

Advantage Marketing System had net income of $8,551 for fiscal 2001, down from net income of $492,934 in 2000. The nutritional supplement marketer had sales of $28.4 million, compared to $26.7 million a year earlier.

The Oklahoma City-based company’s fiscal year ended Dec. 31.

“The economy was less than robust through the end of 2001, impacting our sales and profitability,” said John Hail, Advantage Marketing’s CEO, in a statement.

“We took many significant steps during the year to improve Advantage Marketing for the future, including strengthening the management team, adding new products, opening our state-of-the-art call center and distribution center, as well as introducing our new T.R.U.E. Advantage Leadership Training program,” he said.
