NBC’s Access Hollywood is teaming up with Verizon Wireless for a three-week, multi-city tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary season of the show.
The entertainment show is taking to the streets to showcase Verizon Wireless’ V CAST service, which brings news, entertainment, spots and weather to wireless phones via streaming video as part of the Verizon Wireless Access Across America Tour.
The 15-city tour kicks off Aug. 29 in Miami. Co-anchors Nancy O’Dell and Billy Bush will make stops in new cities each day to host the show. Additional tour stops include Chicago and New Orleans. Show hosts will give viewers clues to the tour’s next stop, only revealing their location during show broadcasts.
“Taking the show on the road is the perfect way to start our 10th season,” said Rob Silverstein, executive producer, Access Hollywood, in a statement. “The fact that no other entertainment news show has done this before is yet another example of how Access Hollywood continues to separate itself from the pack. In Verizon, we have the ideal promotional partner. They’re cutting-edge, fun and take pride in offering something people can’t get anywhere else.”
As part of the tour, Access Hollywood will track the number of miles the tour bus has traveled and the amount of money spent on gas for viewers online at Accesshollywood.com.
The tour concludes Sept. 16 in Los Angeles. Internet materials support. Marathon Ventures, Wakarusa, IN, handles.
