A Lofty Trio

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

U.K-based Air Miles Travel Promotions Plc. (www.airmiles.co.uk), a large loyalty company and subsidiary of British Airways, has hired U.K.-based Internet management company Sema Group Plc. and Internet supplier BroadVision, Inc., Redwood City, CA, to implement its online promotions.

Using BroadVision’s technology will enable Air Miles to deliver new promotions to consumers through its customer database and help more efficiently manage frequent flyer programs.

The Air Miles database contains over 4.5 million customers, who collect miles and use them to purchase discounted goods and services from a number of loyalty partners, including Sainsburys and Shell.

By linking its Web site directly to its database, Air Miles will be able to provide consumers with special offers from their collection sources and more rapidly redeem miles for travel and leisure rewards. Sema’s technology will allow Air Miles and its partners to target specific promotional offers and destinations based on customers’ personal preferences.
