The files, which total 1.2 million records, will be managed by Chatsworth, CA-based 101communications starting on Aug. 1.
101communications, a publisher and conference company targeting information-technology professionals, had managed its 66 e-mail lists through its internal sales team, while Statlistics, Danbury, CT, managed the postal files for the last two years.
The two firms together managed a 1.2 million-name de-duped master file, which will now be exclusively handled by the publisher.
“In an effort to better service those wanting to place multi-channel orders, both companies were allowed to sell both formats on all lists,” said Jane Nicholson, general manager of 101direct, the list services division.
She added, “This caused confusion so we decided to consolidate it all in-house and give our customers one single point of contact. We are almost completely staffed for what it takes to do this in-house and are adding to our staff to do a better job of it.”
