1-800-Flowers.com Inc. has acquired Cheryl & Co. Inc., a direct marketer of cookies and baked gift items, for about $40 million.
The deal is expected to close March 31.
“When combined with our other food gift offerings, this acquisition will increase our annual revenues in the fast growing food, wine and gift basket category to more than $100 million,” said Jim McCann, CEO of Westbury, NY-based 1-800 Flowers, in a statement.
