YP Corp. reported net income of $3.3 million for the first quarter, up 123% from $1.5 million last year.
The Mesa, AZ Internet Yellow Pages publisher reported net revenue of $16.4 million for the quarter ended March 31, up 139% from $6.8 million last year.
“We are seeing strong growth in fiscal 2004,” said spokesperson Angelo Tullo in a statement. “Despite the short-term decrease in our margins in the second quarter, we expect the long-term effect on profitability to be positive as a result of our efforts.”
