YesMail Debuts E-Mail List Management Business

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

YesMail has started an e-mail list management service.

The Chicago-based e-mail marketing company has 13 lists under management, for a total of 8 million names. The largest file is from Snowball.com, with 3.7 million names, followed by JobsOnline with 2 million names.

“This is a way to dramatically increase the number of names we can offer a marketer–to become a one-stop shop for a marketer,” said Dave Menzel, CEO. “Also, as we expand our inventory in this way, we can expand the demographics and depth of data these list owners can develop over time.”

Other list management clients include AllCommunity, eCRUSH, GiantRewards, WinDough.com, OfficeMax.com, MapBlast!, Mplayer.com, Spedia.com and StoneAge.com.

Most of the files are business to consumer, but a couple, such as OfficeMax.com and JobsOnline have names suitable for business to business marketing, according to Stephanie Walsey, director of marketing.

Consumers named in the files have opted in to receive third-party information, Walsey said.

The files include demographic, geographic and some transactional data. Prices vary depending upon the depth of data available, Menzel said. Prices, which are negotiable, range from $200 to $275 per thousand names.

YesMail’s network co-op rate is about $230 CPM. The YesMail Network contains about 16 million e-mail names.
