Yahoo! Finance and HP are teaming up at the U.S. Open in Southampton this weekend to offer golfers a chance of winning a new Hummer H2 by scoring a hole in one.
The two companies will take over The Southampton Driving Range on Saturday and Sunday and are giving duffers the chance to hit a free bucket of balls while trying their luck and skill at a coveted hole in one content called the Yahoo! Finance Hole-in-One Challenge sponsored by HP.
HP, which will give away a digital camera to any Hummer winner, will also have available four Internet-connected laptops at what is called StatCenter. Here golfers can check the U.S. Open leader board, their stock portfolios on Yahoo! Finance and/or their e-mail.
The event will be marketed through a locally driven truck billboard and parking lot fliers, as well as the signage around the Hummer parked in front of the driving range. This is the first time the companies have conducted this program.
