Wunderman Promotes Zammarchi, Others

Wunderman this week promoted three executives, including promotions veteran Steve Zammarchi.

Zammarchi Kessel Schreuder

Zammarchi becomes president of Wunderman’s New York headquarters. He had been president of the Chicago office for seven years and has been with the agency for 26 years. Zammarchi is credited with doubling Wunderman’s Chicago office in the last two years and expanding its services beyond retail promotion to include direct marketing, events and online marketing.

Zammarchi takes the position in November, replacing Barry Kessel, who becomes chief client development officer, a new post. Kessel will serve Wunderman’s current U.S.-based clients with global expansion plans, including AT&T Wireless, Gannett and Novartis. He remains in the New York office.

Rick Schreuder will replace Zammarchi as president of the Chicago office. He had been senior VP-director of client services. Schreuder led the Burger King business, which has grown from merchandising to include promotions, direct marketing, database services, field and event marketing. Schreuder also led the office’s customer-relationship management initiatives.

Wunderman ranked No. 31 in the 2004 PROMO 100 with estimated 2003 net revenues of $189 million, up 9% from 2001.
