Wine.com, an online wine marketer, has named George Garrick president and CEO.
Since 2002, Garrick has been CEO of PlaceWare, and subsequently negotiated it’s acquisition by Microsoft for $200 million last January.
Before that, he was CEO of Flycast Communications, taking it from startup to a $500 million IPO a year later, and eventually selling the company for $2.3 billion in January 2000.
