Wal-Mart Launches Online Music Store

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. officially launched its online music store Tuesday, a venture designed to boost its Web businesses, according to wire service reports.

The store sells digital downloads for 11% less than major competitors, the Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer said.

Wal-Mart began testing the site, which allows customers to download a song from the Internet for 88 cents, in December.
