Yesterday, Verizon Wireless dedicated a new 150,000-square-foot call center in North Charleston, SC. The $25 million facility is located in a building that formerly housed a Montgomery Ward store.
“South Carolina, Charleston County and the city of North Charleston have created a business friendly environment for us to open our new call center,” said Steven Post, director of customer financial services for Verizon’s new center, in a prepared statement.
When the center is fully staffed it will have roughly 1,100 employees, making it one of the ten largest private employers in greater Charleston.
